After the exile was over, Hidimba Devi did not go along with Pandavas. She stayed in Manali and went deep into meditation to elevate her soul and seek divinity.

The festival is marked with musical and dance performances by locals. This temple is about five centuries old. A fair is organized every year on the day the temple was originally raised. This day is known as ‘Sarrohni Mela’. This fair coincides with the completion of paddy grafted in the land.
