Diablo 4 Overpower: Mechanics and Examples
What is Overpower?

Overpower is a unique damage mechanic in Diablo 4, offering a different way to Diablo 4 Items boost your damage output compared to traditional Critical Hits or Lucky Hits. Unlike Critical Hits, which have a variable chance to occur, Overpower has a fixed activation chance, providing a consistent method to enhance your damage.

How Overpower Works

Chance to Proc: Overpower has a 3% chance to activate with each attack, including basic attacks and skills. It is most commonly triggered by skills.
Damage Display: When Overpower activates, it is indicated by light blue damage numbers. If an Overpower hit also qualifies as a Critical Strike, it will be displayed as orange damage numbers.
Damage Calculation: Overpower damage scales with several factors:
Maximum Life: Overpower deals additional damage based on your Maximum Life, up to 50% more damage when at full health.
Fortify: Overpower's damage increases by +1% for every 1% of your Base Life that is fortified.
Willpower: Each Willpower point boosts Overpower damage by +0.25%.
Bonus Life: Overpower benefits from bonus life, gaining +1% damage for every 1% of Base Life in bonus life.
Critical Strikes: Overpower can critically strike, further amplifying its damage.
Weapon Damage: The base damage of Diablo 4 Items for sale your weapon contributes to Overpower, enhancing the skill that triggers it.
