Elden Ring uses runes as its in-game currency for leveling weapons and characters. Players earn them by defeating enemies and purchasing from merchants.

Descending each demi-god boss in Elden Ring yields players with a Great Rune; however, just possessing it won't activate its powers; to activate one fully, players must ascend its respective Divine Tower and climb it.

Godrick’s Great Rune

Godrick's Great Rune is one of the earliest and most practical Great Runes players can acquire. It not only raises attributes, but it also offers some damage mitigation benefits.

Find it by defeating Shardbearer Godrick in Stormveil Castle, the game's inaugural major legacy dungeon. After the fight is complete, a teleporter will appear and transport players directly to Limgrave Divine Tower nearby.

Great elden ring runes are unique items that can be equipped to unlock special benefits when invading another world, such as buffing enemies when invading or giving an additional 25% health rebuff. Players can purchase them from merchants like Hermit Merchant in Roundtable Hold or Twin Maiden Husks shop nearby.

Remembrance of the Grafted

Every player in Elden Ring requires runes - the in-game currency that boosts attributes, upgrades gear and powers weapons - in order to advance. Runes can be collected from Twin Maiden Husks or purchased from merchants - however one of the best ways of gathering runes is destroying bosses and defeating shardbearer bosses in battlegrounds and raids.

As players defeat these main bosses, a special item known as a Remembrance will drop from them - similar to how FromSoftware used boss souls for previous games - giving an abundance of runes that can be redeemed and activated for powerful effects. Furthermore, players may duplicate one Remembrance so as to gain its power for themselves or another item.

Rennala’s Great Rune

Successfully defeating all demi-god bosses in Elden Ring unlocks Great Runes - unique items which provide powerful buffs until death. Many Great Runes require players to visit specific Divine Towers which are listed within its description to activate its full power.

Rennala's Great elden ring runes per level differs significantly. Once players beat her, they can bring it to Finger Reader Enia at Roundtable Hold and select "Receive Power from Remembrance," transforming it into either the Carian Regal Scepter - an Intelligence staff which boosts Full Moon magic - or another respec function.

Malenia’s Great Rune

Malenia's Great Rune can provide players with a significant healing boost; however, if not activated before death it will lose its effects and stop working altogether.

As with the other Great elden ring runes, this one is dropped by one of the main bosses in Elden Ring and requires specific steps for activation. Players should visit Miquella's Haligtree at its highest point to activate it.

Once activated, players can use it to heal while attacking enemies by taking on some of their damage and absorbing some of it themselves; however, this will reduce the effectiveness of their Flasks of Crimson Tears.

Crimson Flask

The Flask of Crimson Tears is Elden Ring's red healing flask, designed after a golden holy chalice. When used, its use replenishes HP. If desired, upgrading this flask requires Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears - two items which can help increase HP replenishment with use.

Upgrades of Crimson Tears increase its charges and the amount of HP it restores per use, as well as raising its potency. It is possible to find both Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears throughout Elden Ring; however, finding them may prove challenging at times. Golden Order

Marika defeated The Golden Order as part of her conquest of the Lands Between in several wars, becoming its most powerful faction and working toward their aim of dominating all aspects of society. Their main goal is imposing their will over everything in existence.

One of their primary tools to accomplish this goal is the Golden Order Seal, a sacred seal weapon which scales with both intelligence and faith - making it an excellent weapon for hybrid Intelligence/Faith casters as it increases effectiveness of Golden Order Incantations like Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light and Litany of Proper Death incantations.

Players can acquire the Golden Order Principia by defeating Maliketh in Crumbling Farum Azula area of Royal Capital and give it to either Brother Corhyn or Goldmask to unlock Golden Order Incantations.
